Product description
The Catit Flower Fountain is based on the successful Catit Drinking Fountain and has a fresh, unique design that allows up to 3 different water flow settings to appeal to picky drinkers! When plugged in without accessories, the Flower Fountain provides a gently flowing water surface. Inserting the flower accessory creates long, faucet-like streams of water. The flower is easy to add to (or remove from) the fountain. Adding the flower cap will tone down the bubbling water on top, so give this setting a try if your cat would rather play with the water than drink from it. The Flower Fountain is easy to disassemble and clean and has an ergonomic design matching the Catit Multi Feeder (#43741). Combine the two for a complete dining experience! The Catit Flower Fountain is compatible with the Catit Senses 2.0 Water Softening Filters (#43744). .

Improved Catit Flower Fountain
With new water level indicator
The Catit 2.0 Flower Fountain has a unique design that allows up to 3 different water flow settings to appeal to picky drinkers! The flower is easy to add to (or remove from) the fountain. Unlike most drinking fountains, the Catit 2.0 Flower Fountain does not have a bowl to drink from, so dirt cannot accumulate in it. All water is filtered before it disappears into the reservoir, guaranteeing fresh drinking water at all times.
The Flower Fountain has an added new feature, the water level window. This feature helps cat owners to easily spot when water levels are getting low, so cats won't run out of water and can stay hydrated. The Catit 2.0 Flower Fountain is easy to disassemble and clean and has an ergonomic design which helps prevent whisker stress and feline acne.

Water Level WindowCat owners can easily spot when water levels are getting low, so cats won't run out of water and can stay hydrated. |
Compact and ergonomic designThe Catit Flower Fountain’s compact 3 L (100 fl oz) water reservoir was designed to take up little floor space. The fountain offers more clean water and is much more stable in comparison to other fountains. |
Clean water at all timesUnlike bowls, the Catit Flower Fountain pushes only filtered, running water to the surface. This prevents your cat from having access to dirty water. |

Easy to cleanThe Flower Fountain is easy to take apart for cleaning. Every component is easily accessible and can be cleaned with water and natural soap. Always make sure to rinse thoroughly after cleaning. |
Whisker Stress Free DesignWhisker stress-free surface at comfortable height for adults and kittens. |
Includes Triple Action FiltersThe Catit Triple Action filter removes magnesium and calcium from tap water (2). These minerals can accumulate in your pet’s lower urinary tract and lead to urinary tract diseases, which is a common health issue for cats. Removes odours caused by bacteria and chlorine (1), and retains stray hairs, sediment and debris (3). |
Replacement Filters availableThe Flower Fountain is only intended for use with Catit certified filters. Catit Triple Action filters are guaranteed to safely and optimally purify your cat’s drinking water for approximately 30 days. After that time, filtration effects will start to gradually decrease and bacteria may start to form within the fountain reservoir. Replace your Catit Triple Action Filter every month, or sooner, if the filter is visibly saturated. |

I usually take pictures of the unboxing, but I was really excited to set this up and see how my two cats were going to react. I used to have a water fountain for them a few years ago, but it was really finicky and didn't always run well. I ended up giving up on it after fussing with it for a few months. I really didn't expect to get another cat fountain.
First to describe my 2 cats' personalities- The young male is almost 2 years old and very laid back. The older female is 15, and skittish and the least likely of the two to handle change. The young male was a bit nervous about it but curious. He was drinking out of it within 10 minutes. My old cat (15) mainly ignored it for the evening. She didn't appear to be scared of it, but she wasn't interested either. I think that because it's so quiet, she didn't hear it. (I suspect she is losing her hearing) She eventually was seen taking a drink out of it the next morning. I suspect she checked it out when we were asleep and it was on her own terms. The canned cat food was placed strategically next to it before I went to bed to entice her to check things out.
One reason why I was willing to try another fountain was that I worry about my male cat getting urinary crystals. I have him on good quality cat food, but I know he could still be at risk. This fountain is already encouraging him to drink more water, which is awesome.
Setup was easy. Pump in bottom, lid and accessories snapped in the top. I immediately tried the setting with the flower since the cats like the running water of taps so much. I did eventually try the other flow settings, but quickly went back to the 3rd attachment, with the flower on the top. If I were to change one thing about the instructions, I would separate all the languages from each other. Each step was described under each picture, but it seemed like my eyes were jumping all around since there were numerous other languages under each description. It may have been more about the spacing than anything.
One cute thing I noticed was how you can make the cardboard box into a cat toy. Catit had pictures of pipes on the outside of the box with different circles that could be cut out. We play one trying that tomorrow. Such a cute idea!
Replacement filters are 3 for $11.99 I think this is a fair price, and to be honest, the price of the filters for something like this is just as likely to make or break the sale for me. The filter works well, it collects hair, debris and sediment, plus the activated charcoal keeps the water tasting fresh for your cat.
I would say the only downside is that it's made completely of plastic. Some cats are really sensitive to plastic, and my cats' have metal bowls. I'm not anticipating a problem with my cats, but it wouldn't be a great item to buy if your cat gets cat acne from plastic.
I'm pleasantly surprised with this cat fountain. I didn't have to fuss with it to get it setup and I can already tell it's going to be easy to clean and care for. I highly recommend this fountain. Your cats will love it!

I like that there are different settings for how the water comes out, my cats are splashers so having the flower attachment to make little streams stops them from making a mess while still giving them lots of water to drink.
The reservoir is pretty big too so I don't have to constantly be adding new water (even tho they drink a lot so I do have to fill it frequently) plus the gentle trickling noise is nice if you like water noises.
The pump is very quiet and I can barely hear it even if I'm right up next to the fountain. It's also nice that is has a usb cord so I can plug it into the usb ports on my power bar instead of taking up an entire outlet on the wall.
The pump doesn't have a super long life span and on the old one I noticed it was starting to struggle, I don't know if it was getting clogged or just old since it was about 3 years old, but it wasn't sounding the best anymore. but my only complaint is that finding a replacement pump is difficult since the catit store always seems to be sold out and 3rd party pumps are almost as expensive as just getting a new fountain without the assurance that they'll even work strong enough to pump water up the spout. Which is why we bought a new fountain instead of testing out luck with other pumps to put in the old one.
All in all I think this is a great fountain and would recommend it for anyone that wants their cats to have running water. You can use it without the filters too but they seem to like the filtered water better than just regular water lol
Pros: very quick and simple to set up. Parts fit logically together in about 4 steps, clearly detailed in pictograms.
- versatile. The power supply has a female USB outlet, and the cord simply plugs into this or other usb power supplies for simple setup.
- Ashton (the user) loves it. It took some three days alongside his regular water supply before he attempted to drink from it. I tried the flower, the open flower and the bubble flow without flower. He would only drink from the flower. I suspect many cats have their own preferences...
- very quiet. Except when running low (it holds over 3 Litres) it is almost silent. It would be a good idea to place it on a rubber or plastic mat to regulate and splashes... but even this is not needed for silencing purposes.
- easy to maintain. All parts are push-fit. I remove the pump and place it in a bowl to drain after unplugging. All the other items are washed in pet safe dish soap then rinsed very thoroughly in very hot water. A quick drip dry and wipe, they are ready for reassembling. It's a good idea to invert the filter cartridge and rinse loose hairs etc from it under cold running water too.
Cons: when it runs low, it makes an alarming but harmless foaming around the return chamber. After testing the water for bacteria and pollutants, it seems this is just aerated water.
- it has a cable. If your cat likes to chew... then you will need a semi permanent form of cable protector. Mine is a conduit that runs from power pack to floor right where the fountain sits. This minimizes the amount of chew-tempting cable available. So far this has not even been attempted... it is inconvenient that the cable and pump need to remain in situ for maintenance, but my hack of rinsing the pump in a bowl gets over this. No need to re-feed the cable after every water change.
- not really a contra, but the aesthetics of this thing are a little crude. From a purely pragmatic point of view though, it achieves the objective admirably... adequate hydration of a precious feline.
Note: avoid buying non-branded filter cartridges. For a few $ difference you get a world of improved quality and the cartridges actually fit. Not so for generic replacements supposedly compatible with this model. Having repeatedly tested the water quality with original CatIt cartridges, I can endorse this as an excellent product.
Suggestion: someone asked what happens in case of a power outage? Well the pump stops obviously. But there are two work arounds:
1: have a good USB power bank to keep the pump running for a few hours if you're there when the outage occurs. And obviously...provide a backup dish!
2: if it is filled above the overflow return slot, the bowl will always have some accessible water for the cat in a pinch. Not recommended for more than a day or two at worst though. Felines can tolerate some dehydration but better safe than sorry.
